- How are you feeling?
- Scan through your body just to check in with yourself before you continue with your day.
- How are you feeling emotionally?
- E.g. tired, awake refreshed, irritated, angry, worried
- How are you feeling physically?
- E.g. warm, cold, sweaty, shivering, comfortable, pain
- What can you feel around you?
- E.g. the bed beneath you, the duvet or sheets covering you, the pillow under your head, the temperature in the room
- What can you hear?
- What can you smell?
- From this, is there anything I need to be mindful of?
- E.g. if I already feel annoyed, I may be short tempered & less tolerant of those around me.
Tips#
- Learn to just be in the moment
- Opposite action
- Be mindful & positive towards negative thoughts
- Show kindness towards anger or sadness
